Mold In Closet

This home had a leak in the AC unit which was located in the attic.  Later, the homeowner noticed mold growing in the top of this linen closet.  

The mold started on the ceiling around the light fixture and then spread to just above the doorway (pictured).  There was also mold growth on the wood shelves and along the baseboards at the bottom of the closet.  Fortunately, the mold was discovered and SERVPRO was called before it spread to other rooms in the home.    

The mold infested drywall and carpet were removed.  The entire closet was cleaned and treated with an antimicrobial.  The remaining wood was sealed to prevent future growth.
